Below is a video of our hydro-excavation truck in action. Recently, C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. was asked to perform hydro-excavation and air-excavation work at Midway Airport. The plan called for 400 feet of slot trench between two runways, and our crew was top-notch the whole way. C.J. Erickson Plumbing Co. can help with pot-holing, utility location, catch-basin cleaning, pre-construction surveys, fiber optic locating, etc. This machine really enhances our capabilities to get any job done. Take a look! And as always, when it comes to plumbing, whether it be commercial or residential, C.J. Erickson is the trusted name.

Thanks to C.J. Erickson’s new self-contained Hydro-Excavation truck, very demanding water main breaks are repaired quickly with a level of safety and precision simply not achievable by traditional methods.

After receiving a recent call from a commercial customer who suspected a water main break, our crew arrived at the site and called J.U.L.I.E. Close proximity to utility poles, other buried utility lines and overall safety concerns would have made it extremely difficult and costly to excavate using standard equipment. Instead we used our Hydro-Excavator to uncover all buried utilities and expose the broken water main. While the repair was being made, additional hydro-excavation enabled us to keep the area exposed and control the water.

Instead of using a back-hoe or many man-hours to dig a trench in a very tight, demanding location, our Hydro-Excavator dug a very narrow, precise trench by forcing 2000 to 3000 PSI water through a steel nozzle. Resulting water and slurry were vacuumed into our self-contained debris tank and removed from the site.

Our customer benefited from fault-free, safe underground repairs made in a timely, cost-efficient manner – made possible by our investment in clean, precise Hydro-Excavation technology.
