Why You Need a Battery Backup Sump Pump System

Don’t let a flooded basement happen to you. As the snow begins to melt and make way for spring rains, make sure your home is protected from a sump pump failure or power outage.

A Pro Series Sump Pump provides the following standard features:

  • Switches automatically to battery power in an emergency
  • Pumps up to 2,400 gallons per hour at a 10ft. lift
  • Self-monitoring system reminds of required maintenance for unequaled reliability
  • Sounds an alarm in an emergency
  • Tests the pump weekly
  • Can be connected to a security system

Sump Pump Backup SystemIf the power goes out, your main AC pump will not run and your basement will flood. The Pro Series backup system provides a secondary power source. It will pump for 7.5 continuous hours on a single Pro Series 2400 battery, or intermittently for days. For extra long run time, it can handle 2 or 3 batteries for extended pumping time.

If your main pump fails due to a mechanical problem, or if the pump is clogged with debris, the basement will flood. The Pro Series system will provide a secondary pump and keep your basement dry.

If the float switch on your main pump gets stuck or fails, your basement will flood. The Pro Series system will provide a secondary float switch, which will activate the backup pump and keep your basement dry.

 

Meet "C.J." – The New C.J. Erickson Plumbing Mascot

On February 8th, C.J. Erickson Plumbing began a contest on our Facebook fan page asking our fans to choose their favorite of four vehicles that would become our new mascot. “C.J.”, would be based on either our box truck, red van, red sprinter or maroon van. Fans were given the entire week to vote and on February 12th, those votes were tallied and the winner was announced. The Box Truck was victorious! Thanks again to all of our loyal fans who voted.

After our fans had done their part in choosing the vehicle that would inspire C.J., it was in our hands to bring him to life. With the help of our trusted design team, we are proud to present… “C.J.”

Now the fun begins! C.J. is being unleashed on to the streets of the Chicagoland area. He’ll be tweeting – sharing fun facts and plumbing tidbits. But that’s not all. C.J. will also be using our Facebook page to share his wisdom with fans. If you need help at home while planning that kitchen or bathroom project, or do-it-yourself advice, simply “Ask C.J.” by posting your questions on our wall or tweeting them to @CJEricksonCo beginning with the phrase “Ask C.J.” C.J. will be there to answer your questions the best that he can (free of charge!), and if he can’t, one of C.J. Erickson Plumbing’s experts will be there to help.

Several C.J. Erickson Plumbing vehicles are going into the shop to have C.J. affixed on their back. So, if you happen to be following one of our vehicles and spot the decal below, send a tweet to @CJEricksonCo or post a message on our Facebook wall. Include a picture of the vehicle you’re following (please obey all traffic and state laws relating to mobile device usage) in your post and you may win an extra special prize, courtesy of C.J.!
